Job summary

IPX Power is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead HV substation and switchyard design across large-scale solar and storage projects. The role requires coordinating with EPCs, utilities, and vendors to ensure interconnection and adherence to utility standards throughout development, financing, construction, commissioning, and operations.

The candidate will drive technical decisions, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure regulatory compliance (NERC PRC/MOD, CAISO/ERCOT).

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading HV substation and MV collection projects.
• Experience managing EPCs, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of NERC PRC/MOD, CAISO/ERCOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of HV substation and switchyards (115kV–500kV).
• Liaise between internal teams, utilities, vendors, and EPCs for interconnection.
• Define technical boundaries with DOR matrices and schedules.
• Audit program health to close gaps and ensure energization.
• Direct EPCs and engineers to optimize designs while meeting budget.
• Own interconnection scope, models, and negotiations with ISOs.
