Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Engineer - Generator Diagnostics in Poland to lead on-site electrical and mechanical diagnostics, inspections, and repair monitoring of generators. The role involves close collaboration with back office, engineering, and remote support teams, applying complex concepts and short-term planning to resolve issues.

You will conduct electric tests, visual inspections, and robotic diagnostics, plan resource use, and ensure safety and quality compliance across projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of electrical testing methods and willingness to learn more.
• Strong ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel internationally (around 30% varies by project).
• Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics on generators including visual inspections and electrical tests on stators, rotors, and components.
• Perform generator diagnostics with robotic inspections and high voltage tests.
• Recommissioning of air-cooled and H2-cooled generators.
• Plan, organize, and direct labor and material allocation.
• Provide technical expertise to customers and field technicians.
• Attend technical meetings and provide timely reports.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on site.
