Job summary

GFT Poland is seeking an Expert Fullstack Consultant (Java & React) for a Kraków-based hybrid role. You will work on large-scale financial services platforms, driving digital transformation, automation, data integration and modernization.

You will build and evolve backend services with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+, develop frontend with React/TypeScript, and integrate PostgreSQL and Kafka. Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD and AI tooling will be leveraged to improve delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+
• Experience designing and developing microservices-based architectures
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of Kafka
• Experience with automated testing using JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers or similar tools
• Understanding of Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test, packaging and deployment automation

What will you do?

You will work on large-scale financial services platforms supporting investment banking operations. The role focuses on digital transformation, process automation, data integration, and application modernization in a highly regulated environment. You will contribute across both backend and frontend development while leveraging modern cloud-native technologies, AI engineering tools, and DevOps practices.

• Design and develop scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain modern frontend solutions using React and TypeScript
• Implement and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL and Kafka
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Develop and maintain automated tests ensuring application quality and reliability
• Deploy and support applications running on Kubernetes platforms
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+
• Experience designing and developing microservices-based architectures
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of Kafka
• Experience with .NET and C#
• Experience with AI engineering tools such as GHCP CLI
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and frontier models
• Strong domain knowledge of Stock Borrow Loan business
• Experience with automated testing using JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers or similar tools
• Understanding of structured context in codebases such as AGENTS.md and skills
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test, packaging and deployment automation
• Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 3 days a week
