Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Product Technical Leader to drive the technical development of our eAxle portfolio. You will orchestrate a full system integration of the electric drive unit, aligning motor, inverter, and reducer with premium customer targets.

The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams across mechanical, hardware, software, thermal, and validation disciplines to ensure robust, scalable architectures and high-volume production readiness.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in automotive/electrical/mechatronics or related field.
Experience leading engineering teams in automotive powertrain subsystems, preferably electric drive (eAxles).
Fluent English and strong communication across multinational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Drive the technical synthesis of the complete eAxle system (e-Motor, inverter, reducer).
Act as the primary technical interface to premium car makers during RFQ and development phases.
Lead cross-functional R&D work packages across mechanical, hardware, software, thermal, and validation teams.
Coordinate with industrialization and manufacturing teams for high-volume production.
Own design safety margins (DFMEA, RAISE) and ensure NVH and thermal robustness.
Manage system-level requirements, changes, and traceability in PLM and Codebeamer.
