Job summary

Valeo seeks a highly experienced Product Technical Leader to drive the technical development and strategic evolution of an eAxle product portfolio. The role is pivotal to ensure technical excellence, robustness, and market competitiveness in automotive electric and electronic systems.

The successful candidate will lead cross-functional R&D teams, coordinate with manufacturing for scalable production, and ensure system safety margins through DFMEA and ISO 26262 practices. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience leading engineering teams on automotive powertrain subsystems.
Strong understanding of system integration and functional safety (ISO 26262).

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical driver of the project, orchestrating design, integration, and validation of the full eAxle.
Drive full system integration for eAxle, ensuring seamless interaction of e-Motor, inverter, and reducer.
Act as the primary technical interface to global premium car makers during RFQ and development.
Lead cross-functional R&D teams across mechanics, hardware, software, thermal, and validation.
Coordinate design with manufacturing teams to optimize eAxle for high-volume production.
Own system robustness through DFMEA and safety margins, addressing NVH and thermal stress.
Manage system-level requirements, change tracking, and traceability in PLM and CodeBeamer.
