Job summary

DTE is a fast-growing, Europe-focused deep-tech company that enables aluminium producers to optimise production in real time. This home-based Field Service Specialist role covers installation, commissioning and service across Europe, with travel to customer sites as needed.

You will configure equipment, train operators, provide on-site and remote support, and collaborate with Engineering teams in Iceland and beyond to improve service procedures and product reliability.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in field service, equipment assembly or technical support involving electronic or industrial equipment.
• A degree or vocational qualification in engineering, electronics, electrical technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience troubleshooting automated control systems and industrial equipment.
• Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in the field.
• Comfortable in demanding industrial environments including foundries and aluminium facilities.
• Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of European languages is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence and passport; legal work authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service DTE's analytical equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure installations meet quality, safety and reliability standards.
• Configure equipment, perform functional testing and train operators.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment both remotely and on-site.
• Assess site readiness including power, utilities, access and safety requirements.
• Participate in on-call technical support as required.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Service teams to identify issues and improvements.
• Contribute to service procedures, checklists and documentation.
• Help establish DTE's field service capabilities in Europe.
