Job summary

Midea Group is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager specializing in EU VAT to join the OTCOE EMEA team in Poland. You will oversee VAT compliance, advisory and risk management for group entities in the region, ensuring alignment with local statutory requirements.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of EU VAT regulations, hands-on delivery of tax projects, and ability to communicate complex issues clearly to finance, legal and business teams across borders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Tax Law, Accounting, or Finance; Master’s degree or professional qualification is a plus.
• At least 5 years of EU VAT experience, ideally in an international setting.
• Experience with VAT automation tools and tax digitalization projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement the group’s global/regional tax strategy across EU, ensuring alignment with local requirements.
• Monitor regional tax legislation developments; assess impact and train stakeholders.
• Lead local tax health checks or audits with external advisors as appropriate.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams on tax-efficient structuring of transactions.
• Monitor VAT compliance and assist with EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, and other submissions; drive process improvements.
• Support tax digitalization initiatives (e-invoicing, SAF-T, real-time reporting) rollout.
