Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Junior C++ / PyTorch AI Framework Engineer in Gdańsk. You will develop and debug AI software components using C++ and Python, and contribute to PyTorch related features. You will analyze codebases, fix defects, and write unit tests to ensure robust AI solutions.

You will collaborate with hardware and test teams, document issues, follow coding standards, and participate in code reviews. Strong English communication is required, with on-site work in Gdańsk for hardware access.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of C++ programming.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Basic or working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.
• Familiarity with PyTorch or similar deep‑learning frameworks.
• Basic understanding of software testing and debugging methodologies.
• Experience with Git or other source control systems.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Ability to work onsite in Gdańsk as required for hardware or laboratory access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components utilizing C++ and Python for AI and deep learning frameworks.
• Contribute to the implementation of new features for PyTorch and related AI framework components.
• Analyze existing codebases and investigate software defects to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Implement bug fixes, code changes, and prepare code patches or snippets as required.
• Develop and execute unit and automated tests to validate software integrity.
• Perform software validation, analyze test results, and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Collaborate with hardware and test platforms, supporting integration and validation as needed.
• Document software defects, code dependencies, and maintain technical documentation.
• Adhere to established coding standards, testing protocols, and code review processes.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed and cross-functional engineering teams across locations.
