Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Senior C++ / PyTorch AI Framework Engineer in Gdańsk to develop and validate advanced AI software and deep-learning operators, focusing on PyTorch and accelerators. You will optimize C++/Python paths, ensure numerical stability, and drive robust testing and debugging across hardware platforms.

The role requires 7+ years in C++ with PyTorch, Linux expertise, and strong English communication. Onsite presence in Gdańsk is expected to enable hardware and lab access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in C++ software development.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong background in Linux-based development and debugging.
• In-depth understanding of deep-learning frameworks, especially PyTorch.
• Proven expertise in software debugging, root-cause analysis, and resolving complex engineering challenges.
• Experience with unit and integration testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with Git and source-control systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Gdańsk as required for hardware and laboratory access.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance features for PyTorch and AI framework software.
• Develop robust software to enable deep-learning workloads on hardware accelerators.
• Analyze and optimize complex C++ and Python code paths to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to resolve framework and product defects.
• Implement and debug framework functionalities and deep-learning operators with numerical stability.
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Investigate and resolve software and performance regressions on dedicated hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review and perform code changes, upholding high standards of code quality and best practices.
