Job summary

Alcor in Warsaw is seeking an Engineering Tech Lead to act as a player-coach, writing the most challenging code while leading the squad to deliver high‑impact platform products. The role demands 9+ years of hands-on experience, deep Go expertise, and proficiency across 3+ programming languages.

You will set architectural patterns, own code reviews, and drive the team’s velocity while ensuring on-schedule shipping and end-to-end delivery with a strong show‑me Friday cadence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of a squad and end-to-end shipping of complex products
• Proficiency in Go (HIGH++), and experience with multiple languages (3+ languages)
• Strong code-review and delivery ownership with a show-me Fridays cadence

Engineering Tech Lead

The Senior Software Engineer profile above, plus leadership. A tech lead here is a player-coach — you write the hardest code in the squad and you lead it.

• 9+ years hands‑on; same language bar (HIGH++ Go, 3+ languages) and same AI, debugging, and velocity bar as the Senior Software Engineer role — you must out-code the squad you lead.

• Has led a squad and shipped a hard real-time or platform product end-to-end, on committed timelines.

• Sets patterns by shipping them; owns the code-review bar and raises the engineers around you.

• Owns delivery — moves blocked work, doesn't just report it. Show-me mentality: your squad demos working software every Friday.

• Keeps the respect of senior engineers through technical credibility, and manages change without drama — priorities and tech will shift under you.

• Squad options: Platform/Backend, AI/ML Realtime, Integrations, UI, or Native/Desktop (UI leads: senior React + TypeScript mandatory, Go literacy expected; Native leads: systems/native depth per that role).
