Job summary

Nord Security in Poland seeks an Engineering Manager & Site Lead to drive engineering excellence for a squad of 8–10 engineers while representing the local site within the organization.

You will own delivery, remove blockers, mentor engineers, and partner with Product Owners to meet milestones and budgets. You’ll also oversee onboarding, culture, office operations, and community engagement, ensuring a welcoming, productive environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience leading a team of software engineers.
• Solid software development background with understanding of mobile applications domain.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices across the full SDLC, including coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
• Natural people connector with ability to mentor and guide others.
• Experience or interest in shaping workplace culture, community building, or office operations.
• Team-spirited, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to drive cross-platform solutions with the team in a timely manner.
• Comfort representing the site to diverse audiences, from all-hands to external meetups.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, deployment, and operations of squad solutions and features.
• Lead and grow an engineering squad of 8–10 specialists with mentorship and performance planning.
• Set direction and remove roadblocks to enable team success.
• Lead sprint planning and velocity tracking to meet product milestones.
• Develop and execute plans using agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads and Product Owners to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Discuss and propose technical solutions with stakeholders and engineers.
