Job summary

Google seeks a Software Engineering Manager in Poland to lead a team of engineers working on large-scale distributed systems. You will guide project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team across multiple sites internationally.

You’ll balance technical leadership with people management, recruit top talent, manage performance, and partner with product managers to improve productivity, quality and tooling across Google Cloud projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in Kernel development, and architecting and developing distributed systems design.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team focused around defined product area within Google Compute Engine.
• Build, grow and retain top talent and continually find ways to inspire and test the engineering organization.
• Work with team members on their career and general performance.
• Set direction and priorities for the product area, in cooperation with the team.
• Build cross-functional partnerships, and work closely with developers and product managers to identify productivity, production quality and coverage issues, and provide insight on improving both through scale and tooling.
