IDT Corporation is seeking a highly technical Engineering Manager to build and lead a scalable, robust platform for National Retail Solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams and executives to deliver high-impact POS SaaS products that solve real operational challenges for small retailers.

The role emphasizes leadership, architecture, and talent development in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and professional training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical leadership and people management at a SaaS business.
• Experience building Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a strong plus.
• Proven background as a software engineer with large-scale distributed systems experience.
• Experience scaling engineering orgs (e.g., growing teams from 10 to 15 engineers).
• Exceptional stakeholder management with executives and non-technical partners.
• Good command of English (B2 level or higher).

Our National Retail Solutions brand is a highly successful Point-of-Sale (POS) SaaS business, rapidly expanding into new sectors with over 40,000 software and hardware terminals in independent retailers like: convenience stores, bodegas, liquor stores, small grocers, and tobacco shops. We’re looking for a highly technical, hands-in-code Engineering Manager, with experience building highly scalable and robust systems who wants to focus on:

You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, go-to-market teams, and executive leadership to create intuitive, scalable products that solve real operational challenges for our customers. Requirements:

• Proven Leadership Experience: 5+ years in technical leadership and people management at a SaaS business.
• Product background: Experience building Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a strong plus
• Technical Depth: Proven background as a software engineer with a track record of driving large-scale distributed systems or complex platform architectures
• Talent Development: Proven experience in scaling engineering orgs (e.g., growing teams from 10 to 15 engineers) and building career frameworks
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders
• Language Proficiency: Good command of English, at B2 level or higher
• Russian language would be a plus
