Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an Engineering Application Manager to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of internally developed applications for engineering mechanical designs.

You will ensure value, stability, security, and regulatory compliance while aligning with enterprise architecture and digital transformation goals. You will govern onboarding, operations and retirement, maintain ServiceNow documentation, manage incidents and SLAs, and collaborate with owners and business analysts to align

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Application Management, IT Service Delivery, or similar roles.
• Experience managing applications across the complete lifecycle including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, SLA Management. ServiceNow experience.
• Functional knowledge in Engineering domain (engineering tools, product design, manufacturing, PLM).
• Experience with global, cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, integrations, and data flows; Agile/DevOps.
• Knowledge of ITIL 4 practices and service management principles.

Responsibilities

• Govern applications across the full lifecycle: onboarding, operations, improvement, retirement.
• Maintain documentation in the Service Now CMDB.
• Ensure service delivery with incident, problem, change, and release management; monitor SLAs.
• Ensure security and compliance, including access management and audits.
• Collaborate with Application Owner and Business Analyst to align roadmap with priorities.
• Support team to raise Application Management maturity across the business unit.
• Drive user adoption and harmonize processes; realize business value.
• Manage costs, budgets, licenses, and vendors, including contracts and third‑party performance.
• Plan and execute controlled application retirement, including data archiving and risk mitigation.
• Maintain technical documentation of software landscape, hardware, infrastructure.
• Control user access management and periodic performance reviews per security requirements.
