EdgeConneX is seeking a technically deep, field-proven Commissioning Engineer (Cx SME) for EMEA within Global Design & Engineering. You will be the regional technical authority for commissioning, accountable for scope, sequencing, readiness criteria, and IST/test execution across campuses from design through IST and handover to Operations.

You will lead the commissioning lifecycle across Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls systems, validate FATs, and ensure readiness before handover.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data center engineering, construction, or commissioning.
• Experience leading commissioning on large-scale data center projects.
• Familiarity with CxAlloy, Compass, or equivalent.
• Strong cross-team coordination with EPC/execution partners and third-party planners.
• Ability to operate across multiple campuses in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Own commissioning scope, sequencing strategy, and readiness criteria across campuses.
• Serve as primary commissioning technical interface between GD&E, site teams, execution partner, Operations, vendors and third-party agents.
• Gate commissioning readiness and ensure facilities are test-ready before each phase.
• Route deviations through Technical Strategy & Architecture approvals when needed.
• Maintain forward view of commissioning readiness and flag risks to leadership.
• Review and validate testing plans for electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Oversee IST testing and FAT witnessing to ensure field performance matches factory validation.
• Provide onsite commissioning leadership during critical phases: startup, testing, IST, energization.
