Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking an experienced Contingent Workforce Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract within its HR team. You will shape governance, classification, and compliance for our contingent workforce across EMEA, partnering with HR, Legal, Procurement and business leaders to deliver scalable, risk-managed engagement models.

You will drive process improvement, develop guidance and training, and ensure effective reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting employment, contingent worker, or vendor contracts.
• Experience in contingent workforce management, HR operations or workforce strategy.
• Strong understanding of contractor engagement models and worker classification principles.
• Experience supporting or managing contingent worker contracts and compliance processes.
• Ability to advise stakeholders and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish consistent governance, processes and standards for engaging contingent workers.
• Draft, review and governance of contingent worker contracts and related documentation.
• Ensure agreements align with internal policies, business requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve complex engagement scenarios.
• Act as a subject matter expert on contingent worker classification and engagement approaches.
• Advise HR partners and hiring managers on appropriate engagement approaches.
• Ensure compliance checks, approvals and documentation are completed before engagement.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance to identify and mitigate risks.
• Support audit readiness and continuous improvement of compliance processes.
• Build trusted relationships with HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Legal and business leaders.
• Provide practical, business-focused advice on contingent workforce matters.
• Support hiring managers in making informed decisions about external talent engagement.
• Act as a key point of contact for contingent workforce queries.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve contingent workforce processes.
• Develop guidance materials, training and stakeholder communications.
• Improve visibility, reporting and governance across contingent workforce activity.
• Contribute to the evolution of a best-in-class contingent workforce programme.
