Job summary

Etteplan Oyj is seeking a Principal Consultant, Embedded Systems & Edge AI to lead early-phase engagements with industrial clients, framing problems and creating clear directions for adopting edge AI and modern embedded architectures.

You will bridge executive and technical teams, help scale advisory capabilities, and promote an AI-first mindset across industrial software and hardware contexts. The role offers international collaboration and travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in consulting or advisory with senior stakeholder interactions.
• Strong background in embedded software/hardware and modern software engineering.
• Experience bridging strategy and execution in industrial domains.
• Ability to operate across international, multi-disciplinary environments.
• Knowledge of SDV/ADAS or edge AI deployments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leading early-phase client engagements on embedded systems and edge AI in industrial environments.
• Advising on edge AI adoption, robust architecture modernization, safety and observability.
• Translating challenges into embedded product statements, architectures, and roadmaps.
• Supporting sales and pre-sales with technical leadership in strategic discussions.
• Developing and refining Etteplan’s Embedded Systems & Edge AI offerings, methods, and best practices.
• Building embedded and edge AI capability across Business Units; mentoring lead engineers and architects.
• Driving an AI-first mindset in software and embedded systems in industrial contexts.
