Job summary

ITS Poland is seeking an experienced Embedded Linux & Robotics Developer to build a Linux agent serving as the primary endpoint communication hub and on-device analysis engine for secure robotic edge environments.

You will work across user-space and kernel interactions, ROS 2 integration, DDS QoS tuning, and security-focused development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• C programming and system-level software experience.
• Robotics engineering experience with autonomous systems.
• ROS 2 expertise: nodes, topics, services, actions, lifecycle nodes.
• Linux internals knowledge: syscalls, memory, scheduling, kernel data structures.
• eBPF or kernel-driver development experience.
• Socket programming and Ethernet protocols.
• Strong debugging and profiling with GDB, strace, perf, Valgrind.
• Multithreaded/concurrent programming and IPC.
• Git and modern software-development practices (CI/CD).
• Maintainable, well-tested production code.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance user-space and kernel-interfacing components.
• Design data-processing pipelines and inter-component communication.
• Develop eBPF programs and kernel drivers when needed.
• Integrate Linux agent with ROS 2-based robots and edge platforms.
• Develop and troubleshoot ROS 2 nodes, services, actions, topics, and lifecycle components.
• Tune DDS QoS, discovery, and message flows for distributed robotics.
• Analyze system activity to detect anomalies.
• Investigate performance, memory, and real-time issues across layers.
• Collaborate with security, platform, QA, and DevOps engineers.
• Write unit, integration, system, and HIL tests.
• Participate in architecture reviews and code quality improvements.
