Job summary

United Robots in Warszawa develops autonomous mobile robots for industrial facilities and warehouses. We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer specialising in machine learning and computer vision to build perception for robots operating in dynamic environments.

You will design algorithms for object detection and tracking, integrate with ROS/ROS 2, and optimise models for real-time performance on edge devices, collaborating with SLAM, navigation, embedded, and cloud teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in ML/DL or CV projects.
• Strong Python expertise and engineering practices.
• Experience with computer vision pipelines (detection, classification, segmentation, tracking).
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2 and edge deployment considerations.
• Knowledge of Linux, Git, and dataset handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop computer-vision and ML algorithms for autonomous robots.
• Design and implement object detection, classification, segmentation and tracking systems.
• Develop algorithms for detecting people, forklifts, vehicles and obstacles.
• Prepare, clean, annotate, and version datasets.
• Design model-training, validation, and comparison processes.
• Optimise models for real-time on onboard computers.
• Deploy models on edge platforms and integrate with navigation and safety systems.
• Collaborate with SLAM, navigation, embedded and cloud teams.
