Job summary

Adtran, Inc. in Gdynia is seeking a curious 3rd-year Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related student for a Bootloader Software Engineering internship.

You will work with bootloader engineers on real hardware prototypes, learning how devices boot and initialize your software. You will contribute by coding in C, performing lab bring-up, and helping with unit tests, NPI support, and documentation under mentorship.

Qualifications

• 3rd-year student in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Automation and Robotics or related field.
• Availability: at least 20 hours per week in Gdynia office.
• Proficient in C and able to read technical docs in English.
• Basic Linux command line and bash.
• Familiar with gcc and git from coursework or projects.
• Interest in embedded systems and low-level software.

Responsibilities

• Bootloader development support for telecom systems.
• Implement small features and bug fixes in C under guidance.
• Lab work with hardware prototypes; flash images and board bring-up.
• Write and run unit and integration tests.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) testing.
• Prepare and update technical documentation.
