Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) is seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to develop electronic and electrical systems for laser technology. You will design, test, and optimize PCBA layouts and harnesses, while preparing BOMs and documentation for prototypes and production.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust designs and manufacturability. The role requires strong electronics background, hands-on PCB work, and willingness to travel up to 10% domestically or

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics

Responsibilities

• Design and test PCBAs and harnesses to provide power and control of laser systems
• Implementation of firmware for MCU based systems
• Preparation of documentation for projects
• Preparation, verification, and correction of BOMs
• Cooperation with purchasing and planning departments to acquire components for prototype assembly
• Preparing and placing orders for components for prototypes
• Assembling prototypes
• Identify root causes of functional or quality issues during prototype assembly
• Cooperation with other discipline engineers to assess design impact on production
• Identify design features that may cause problems and address them
• Support for manufacturing and sourcing teams
• Researching and improving best practices and tools to increase design quality and efficiency
• Possibility of up to 10% travel domestically and internationally
