Hitachi Energy seeks a Design Tool Domain Expert to bridge electrical design and digital solutions, validating new tool functionalities with real-world workflows. You will collaborate with R&D, software teams, and end users to improve transformer design platforms globally.

You will develop and test design cases, translate user needs into technical specs, and drive documentation and best practices for scalable testing methods.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong experience in transformer electrical design (dielectric, impulse, short-circuit) preferred.
• Hands-on mindset to validate solutions through real design applications.
• Interest in engineering tools, digital platforms, and system development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills in a global environment.
• Ability to bridge engineering and software perspectives with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute real electrical design cases to validate new functionalities within the design platform.
• Test and verify applications and features in close collaboration with R&D and software teams.
• Analyze the impact of new solutions on design practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Define and maintain technical specifications based on backlog priorities and user needs.
• Act as a key interface between engineering users and development teams, translating requirements into improvements.
• Identify gaps, issues, and optimization opportunities during testing and drive corrective actions.
• Support users by troubleshooting technical questions and ensuring smooth adoption of new tools.
• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
