Job summary

Hanwha Renewables, headquartered in Irvine, California, is seeking a Director of Project Development to identify, assess, and execute strategic partnerships, acquisitions and investments in utility-scale solar and energy storage across North America. You will lead real estate, permitting and interconnection efforts, coordinate with finance and legal teams, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 8+ years in renewable energy project development.
• Proven track record with 50MW+ projects.
• Strong knowledge of North American energy markets.
• Willing to travel up to 50% and hold a valid license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Identify acquisition and greenfield development opportunities across North America.
• Perform detailed strategic and financial analyses for opportunities.
• Coordinate real estate, permitting and interconnection activities for projects.
• Prepare transaction summaries for management and investors.
• Oversee ALTA surveys, title work and closing processes.
