Job summary

Calan is seeking a Deputy Development Director to lead and scale a new external-partner development channel across Poland. You will own partner relationships, identify retail project opportunities, and guide projects from pre‑assessment to handover to delivery, influencing the growth of the national store network.

You will work closely with regional prospecting and investment teams, coordinating cross-functional analyses and negotiating terms that protect company interests.

Qualifications

• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven record of signing leases and land or property acquisitions.
• Solid experience in retail and commercial real estate development in Poland.
• Native-level Polish and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Building the pipeline of store projects brought by external partners.
• Securing openings through external leases or land from developers.
• Building long-term relationships with developers, landlords, brokers and investors.
• Leading negotiations with owners, developers and intermediaries.
• Coordinating analyses and preparing project documentation for the Investment Committee.
• Handing complete project files to delivery teams and reporting progress.
