Job summary

OneOcean is seeking a Development Team Leader (.Net) to guide a skilled group of developers, align engineering with business goals and promote best practices across the team. You will mentor peers, drive architecture decisions, and ensure predictable delivery through effective sprint planning and collaboration with Architects, Product Owners and DevOps.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive .NET experience, and a passion for agile, DevOps, and modern software design.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial software development experience.
• 3+ years leading Scrum teams with Agile practices.
• Strong .NET and object-oriented programming expertise.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and REST/GraphQL.
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of .Net developers to deliver aligned goals and milestones.
• Mentor engineers, support their technical and professional growth.
• Promote best practices in coding, architecture and testing.
• Plan capacity, sprints and delivery milestones for predictable output.

Development Team Leader (.Net)

• Lead a team of .Net developers, ensuring alignment on goals, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Mentor and coach team members to support their technical and professional growth.
• Drive engineering excellence by promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and testing.
• Plan and manage team capacity, sprints, and milestones to ensure predictable delivery.
• Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Development Managers, Architects, and Product Owners to align engineering execution with business objectives.
• Ensure effective adoption and execution of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) within the team.
• Contribute to the evolution of development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

Recommendations

• 10+ years of commercial software development experience.
• 3+ years leading Scrum teams with a solid grasp of Agile methodologies.
• Strong technical expertise in .NET and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with microservices, distributed architecture, GraphQL, REST APIs, event buses, and message queues.
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Good understanding of client-server architecture and asynchronous programming.
• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL (MS SQL Server, MongoDB), Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Exceptional communication, teamwork, attention to detail, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Analytical mindset with a knack for leading by example.
• Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead by example.
• Nice to Have: Experience with front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
