Job summary

Brightgrove Ltd. is seeking a Development Lead to own end-to-end product development within the Goelett Product House. You will guide the squad, drive the value stream, and mentor engineers toward architectural excellence.

You will collaborate with a Product Manager to align goals, manage sprints, and deliver high-quality software across distributed teams in Poland and beyond.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of team management and/or system design experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience.
• Extensive knowledge of used tools (Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Docker, Redis).
• Working knowledge of continuous integration / continuous delivery.
• Working knowledge of information security and privacy.
• Understanding of product management, UX/UI design, IT service management.
• Agile expertise, systems thinking, and knowledge of Working Backwards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development for the squad — design, guide, and deliver features that solve customer problems, working backwards from user needs to technical solutions.
• Lead the Value Stream within the Goelett Product House, aligning with group engineering and product standards, setting goals, managing sprints, and mentoring developers.
• Be accountable for delivery metrics like cycle time and customer adoption.
• Eliminate customer pain points by fixing bugs, reducing technical debt, and addressing security, scalability, and performance issues.
• Provide architectural guidance, design system components, and develop testing strategies for quality at scale.
• Deploy and scale solutions while planning for future growth and evolving customer demands.

European OBT (Online Booking Tool) platform serving corporate travel clients across France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Croatia. Part of a larger international travel technology group. The air booking component is a microservice connecting to multiple airline suppliers (GDS, NDC, direct connects, aggregators). The platform requires performance stabilisation, improved observability, and continued feature development. Embedded team augmentation model — the person works as part of the client's development squad, not as an external consultant.

Your Team

Distributed team across Vietnam, Poland (Białystok, Warsaw). Reporting into the client's Head of Development. Client is seeking aDevelopment Leadwho will own end-to-end product development, lead agile Value Stream to deliver scalable solutions, and elevate team capability through hands-on mentorship and architectural excellence.As part of two-in-a-box model. The Development Lead works hand-in-hand with a Product Manager, sharing end-to-end ownership for delivery, KPIs, and team outcomes

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development for the squad- Design, guide, and deliver features that solve customer problems, working backwards from user needs to technical solutions..
• Lead the Value Stream within the Goelett Product House, ensuring alignment with group engineering and product standards. Collaborate with Product Managers to set goals, manage sprints, drive and improve team metrics, and ensure quality delivery through effective mentorship of developers. Collaborate closely with QA teams in other locations to ensure continuous delivery and 12-hour development cycles
• Be accountable for key delivery metrics such as cycle time, release quality, and customer adoption.
• Eliminate customer pain points - Fix bugs, analyze root causes, resolve technical debt, and address security, scalability, and performance issues to maintain product reliability and customer trust.
• Drive technical excellence - Provide architectural guidance, design system components, prepare technical specifications, and develop comprehensive testing strategies to ensure quality at scale.
• Validate and innovate - Perform technology analysis, proof-of-concepts, and system evaluations to identify opportunities and reduce risk before customer impact.
• Deploy and scale solutions - Ensure seamless product deployment on existing environments while designing for future growth and evolving customer demands.
• Build engineering capability - Foster best practices, share knowledge, and develop team skills to increase velocity and deliver customer value faster.
