Job summary

Worldline is seeking a Lead Front-End Developer to own the technical direction of the Worldline Design System. You will define architecture, standards, and distribution across React, React Native, and Angular, collaborating with the Design System Manager to drive adoption across teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, platform thinking, accessibility at scale, and delivering a cohesive system used by multiple products.

Qualifications

8+ years front-end engineering, including 2+ years on a design system or shared UI platform used by multiple teams.
Proven ownership of architecture and standards for a codebase others depend on.
Deep experience in at least two of React, React Native, and Angular.

Responsibilities

Own repository structure, component APIs, theming, token architecture and distribution across frameworks.
Define coding standards, review process, test strategy, and release process with consistent quality.
Mentor front-end engineers, run technical hiring, and grow team capability.
Turn the Design System Manager's roadmap into a realistic technical plan and sequencing.
Build an RFC and contribution process so product engineers contribute upstream rather than forking.
Ship migration guides, codemods, lint rules and starter kits; remove friction with product teams.
Establish adoption telemetry (usage, version drift, accessibility) to steer and prove value to leadership.
Make WCAG 2.2 AA and EAA conformance a structural property of the system.
