Job summary

Diverse Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Senior UI/UX Design & Front-End Lead to drive the requirements-to-prototype process for complex client portal applications. You will define UI/UX standards, build React/TypeScript components, and mentor mid-level developers, while ensuring accessibility, performance, and scalable design.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in software design and development.
• 8+ years with React.js and TypeScript.
• Strong portfolio of advanced UI/UX and product design.
• Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, including component libraries and design systems.
• Strong experience with React component architecture, hooks, state management and reusable UI development.
• Proven ability to translate high-fidelity designs into production-ready, responsive and accessible interfaces.
• Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and modern responsive design practices.
• Experience working with modern CI/CD environments and containerized applications using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience conducting code reviews and providing technical and design guidance to development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain and defend design and technical decisions to both business and engineering stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring developers and supporting technical decision‑making within a front‑end team.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements-to-prototype process from discovery to high-fidelity designs.
• Define UI/UX standards, interaction patterns and design systems across client-facing portals.
• Design and develop React.js and TypeScript components, shared UI libraries and reusable front-end solutions.
• Establish front-end architecture, coding standards and development best practices.
• Review pull requests and provide actionable feedback on code quality, architecture, usability and design fidelity.
• Collaborate with backend and API teams to ensure UX feasibility within constraints.
• Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and responsive design principles.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on user feedback and business needs.
• Mentor mid-level developers in UI/UX design thinking, React development and front-end engineering best practices.
• Represent the portal area in architecture, design and governance discussions.
• Ensure delivered solutions are scalable, maintainable, accessible and consistent across applications.
• Nice to have: working knowledge of Java or .NET environments; Micro Frontend architectures (Module Federation, single-spa); SQL basics; experience in financial services.
