Job summary

Supermicro is expanding its service installation team for the Netherlands, seeking a Datacenter Solution Engineer to install and service server hardware, network gear, and cabling. You’ll report to the Solutions manager and join the service desk, handling customer interactions and on-site hardware fixes.

You will travel internationally and locally, with occasional extended hours. A strong background in X86 datacenter systems, Windows/Linux, and scripting will support success in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience servicing complex X86 systems in a datacenter environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or Dutch MBO4 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal English; Dutch a plus.
• Good understanding of Windows & Linux environments.
• Knowledge of scripting (Bash, PHP, Python) is a plus.
• Hands-on hardware diagnostics and BIOS/driver/app load issue knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform rack and stack, cabling, and networking of data center hardware.
• Assist in implementing server, storage and network equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure seamless hardware integration.
• Ensure hardware installed per specifications and perform post-installation tests.
• Provide first‑line technical support via phone, email and ticketing system.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally for installations.
