Job summary

Mindbox Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking a highly capable database infrastructure professional to support business-critical applications across Europe.

You will work across Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and cloud DB services to drive platform upgrades, migrations and standardisation. This hands-on role involves delivering impactful solutions across global infrastructure, with a hybrid work model (remote days possible; 6 days per month from the Kraków office) and access to training platforms

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL or SQL Server).
• Familiarity with multi-platform environments including cloud DB services.
• Scripting/automation with Bash, PowerShell, Python or Ansible.
• Experience in change, incident, and production governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver infrastructure initiatives such as platform evergreen, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Build and manage database environments, optimise server usage and cost.
• Ensure compliance with patches and security updates within governance frameworks.
• Evaluate new database technologies and cloud features and support pilots.
• Provide internal consulting on database design, resilience, scalability, performance, backup/recovery.
• Produce documentation for standards, guides, handbooks.
• Participate in incident response, on-call support, and root-cause analysis.
• Report progress and risks to management and stakeholders.

Wymagania:

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS:
  • Oracle (RMAN, RAC, Data Guard, Exadata)
  • DB2
  • PostgreSQL
  • SQL Server
• Familiarity or willingness to adopt multi-platform environments including Cloud DB services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Ali Cloud)
• Ability to script and automate using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
• Experience with enterprise IT operational processes for change, incident, and controlled production environments

• Provide internal consulting on database design, resilience, scalability, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies
• Produce clear documentation for standards, implementation guides, and operational handbooks
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, including on-call support via rota
• Report delivery progress and risks clearly and accurately to management and stakeholders
