Job summary

SEB is seeking a Data Steward to partner with the Financial Crime Prevention and Data Management teams in Warsaw. You will improve data quality, governance, and transparency across critical data assets and collaborate with data owners, product owners, and engineers to enable trusted analytics and compliant reporting.

You will establish data controls, manage metadata, and support data consumers with subject-matter expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Stewardship.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical data controls and solutions.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data controls, governance policies, and data definitions.
• Collaborate with data owners, product owners, SMEs, and tech teams to ensure data quality and lineage.
• Drive data lifecycle management and metadata practices across data domains.
• Support data consumers with expertise and enable scalable data product development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and data security classifications.
