Job summary

SEB is seeking a Data Steward within Financial Crime Prevention to enhance data quality, governance and transparency across critical data assets such as transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, sanctions screening and regulatory reporting.

You will collaborate with Data Owners, Product Owners, SMEs, architects, analysts and technology teams to define data controls, maintain the enterprise data catalogue and drive continuous improvements in data management maturity.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Management, Governance or Stewardship.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Nice to have knowledge of Collibra, Dataplex or similar tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS239, GDPR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support data ownership in implementing Data Management responsibilities for the Data Area, including data sharing agreements.
• Ensure data availability so analytic teams can derive insights and value.
• Maintain the business glossary and definitions (ontology) for the Data Area.
• Identify cross-use-case synergies to enable scalable data product development.
• Establish metadata and maintain information in the Enterprise Data Catalogue, including classifications and personal data.
• Define, implement and manage data quality controls and remediation processes.
• Define, implement and manage data lifecycle management processes.
• Support downstream data consumers and other stakeholders with data expertise.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure synergies across use cases.
