Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Data Solution Architect to drive data-driven projects, design enterprise data platforms, and empower digital transformation with scalable platforms, ML, and governance.

You will lead architectural activities, collaborate with engineering teams, and deliver data products end-to-end across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring security and compliance while enabling self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience in requirements engineering, solution architecture, systems development, deployment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of architecture patterns and technological landscape in at least 3 domains (Data Platforms, IoT, ML, Backend, Mobile, etc.).
• Profound knowledge of the technology's internals for at least 1 technology domain.
• Solid understanding of data and analytics platform architectures, data warehousing, BI, data management, integration, security and operations.
• Experience in design, deployment, troubleshooting and re-platforming distributed systems on premises and in the Cloud.
• Structured, systematic knowledge of the entire architecture design process (requirements, quality attributes, technology selection, estimation, documentation).
• Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle with different development methodologies and best practices.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Address organization business goals and strategy with best practices in data-, solution-, enterprise- and business- architectures, as well as in software engineering.
• Conduct architectural activities, including analysis of business problems and technology landscape, identification of requirements, design of solutions and artifacts.
• Perform hands-on software engineering activities, write code and create data models in primary technology stacks.
• Build data management environments (data platforms) on premise and in the cloud with security, compliance and automation considerations.
• Guide implementation team efforts in integration and harmonization of data from different sources and management of data products end-to-end.
• Drive data technology consulting services, helping clients shape vision and make decisions under uncertainty.
