Job summary

EPAM is seeking a Data & AI Governance Consultant to join our Poland team in a hybrid mode. You will advise senior executives, shape data and AI strategy, and define operating models to ensure regulatory alignment and reliable, secure implementations.

You will lead enterprise-wide governance discussions, design federated models, and guide clients through maturity roadmaps, while addressing GenAI risks and ensuring practical adoption across organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or a related field.
• 6+ years of consulting experience in Data Governance, Data Management or AI Governance initiatives.
• Expertise in 2–3 areas: Data & AI Governance, AI compliance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Cataloging, Lineage, or Master Data Management.
• Familiarity with DCAM and Responsible AI principles.
• Experience running maturity assessments and providing strategic recommendations.
• Knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle risks and GenAI-specific risks.
• Strong facilitation and executive-level communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide Data & AI Governance strategy discussions with client executives.
• Define and implement AI Governance frameworks aligned to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Data Management & Governance assessments and roadmaps.
• Design federated governance operating models with councils and RACI structures.
• Advise on GenAI risk mitigation including data leakage and IP exposure.
• Support regulatory readiness and audit/documentation for EU AI Act.
• Deliver end-to-end consulting from strategy to enterprise rollout.
• Lead workshops, drive client outcomes, and contribute to proposals.
