Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Technical Lead for data science who will own end-to-end technical direction from problem framing to delivery. You will mentor a team of data scientists, review methodologies, and contribute production-grade Python to critical modeling tasks across platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and major clouds.

You will translate client business problems into scoped DS workstreams, enforce engineering standards, and collaborate with AI architects and data

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data science with models shipped to production
• Minimum of 2 years leading or mentoring other data scientists
• Deep Python skills across pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost
• Strong statistical foundations: experimental design and validation
• Familiarity with at least one cloud/data platform (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir)
• Experience leading delivery in client-facing/consulting context and risk management
• Fluent English and Polish; residing in Poland

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of data science engagements: design, modeling, validation, delivery quality
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists with code and methodology reviews
• Stay hands-on with prototype work and production-grade Python where it matters
• Translate client problems into scoped, estimable data science workstreams
• Set engineering standards: reproducibility, experiment tracking, testing
• Guide platform decisions across cloud/data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Collaborate with AI architects and client stakeholders to align decisions with business outcomes
• Represent the team to clients: present results and manage expectations
