Volkswagen Financial Services (Poland) invites you to join the European Data & Analytics Hub in Warsaw, expanding its data governance and quality capabilities to support international data use cases at VWFS group.

The role emphasizes building reliable data, defining standards, and enabling multiple business units to access high-quality data across markets. A hybrid work model and strong cross-functional collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation in economics, business administration or business informatics, (business) mathematics or a comparable field; alternatively a business/technical apprenticeship with training.
• Excellent English and Polish skills (C1) in writing and speaking; ability to manage complex approaches and results.
• Analytical and agile mindset with affinity for data, precise and structured working style; customer orientation.
• 2+ years of professional experience in business data requirements of financial services (e.g., Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting).
• Basic knowledge of data warehouses, relational databases and BI/Reporting tools; Informatica experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Define data governance concepts, standards and processes.
• Enable business units to use data from multiple markets.
• Define DG and DQ standards and improve speed of insights and decisions.
• Provide transparency via DQ reporting and support stakeholders with data quality issues.
• Act as a bridge between data consumers and producers in the central data warehouse ecosystem.
• Promote data quality management awareness across departments.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across VWFS markets to resolve data quality issues.
• Analyze data quality challenges and identify root causes in business processes.
• Consolidate, prioritize and drive resolution of data quality issues.
• Develop and implement data quality processes, methods and governance roles.
• Deliver training sessions on data quality management.

This strategic initiative is created to enable the change of Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) to a data-driven company. Our goal is to empower all VWFS business units to use data effectively, efficiently and compliantly in their business decisions.

D&A originally has been set up as central HQ function located in Germany. To strengthen D&A's international profile and to cope with the increasing demand for D&A's services, the European D&A Hub has recently been established in Warsaw, Poland. The teams in both locations work closely aligned to deliver outstanding data products and services for international data use cases at VWFS group.

Data Governance & Quality — About:

Our major activities in the area of Data Quality & Data Governance are:

• Our aim is to help to achieve reliable, high-quality data by defining concepts, standards and processes as well as expert knowledge and providing tools.


• We enable several business departments to use data from various markets for numerous purposes


• We define DG and DQ standards and contribute to improving the speed of insights and business decisions


• We create transparency about the current data quality through DQ problem management and reporting for various stakeholders and support all relevant stakeholders with the exchange of expertise.


• Acting as a bridge between business data consumers and data producers within the central data warehouse ecosystem


• Promoting data quality management awareness across business departments


• Coordinating and communicating with relevant stakeholders across European VW FS markets to support the resolution of data quality issues


• Analyzing existing data quality challenges and identifying their root causes within underlying business processes


• Consolidating, prioritizing, and driving the resolution of data quality issues


• Developing and implementing effective and innovative data quality processes, methods, and governance roles in collaboration with key stakeholders


• Building organizational awareness of data quality management through the design and delivery of training sessions

Qualifications:

• Successful graduation of studying economics, business administration or business informatics, (business) mathematics or a comparable field of study; alternatively: completion of a business or technical apprenticeship with appropriate further training


• Strong communication skills in discussions with different stakeholders and excellent English and Polish skills (C1 Level), both written and spoken as well as ability to manage complex approaches and results-oriented way of working


• Analytic and agile mindset with an affinity for data, precise and structured way of working, solid knowledge of data management and a high customer orientation. Encouraging change processes and transparency. Experiences with Jira are desirable.


• 2+ years of professional experience regarding business data requirements of financial services departments (e.g. Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting), understanding of Data Quality aspects, basic know-how of regulatory aspects (e.g. BCBS 239)


• Basic tool expertise of Informatica as a data analysis tool, proven knowledge of relational databases (and SQL), basics of the structure of data warehouses as well as basic knowledge of Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools


• Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
