Job summary

Point72's Warsaw office is hiring for a Data Platform Engineer to join our Technology Infrastructure Team. You will help build and run scalable data platforms, collaborating with software and data engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient services.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in DevOps/SRE, strong AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD experience, plus excellent collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE for production systems.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or equivalent.
• 3+ years designing and operating AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash) and Git workflows.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong troubleshooting in Linux and incident response.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support development and operation of data infrastructure in collaboration with software/data engineers.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure for large-scale data services focusing on scalability, performance, resilience.
• Provision core AWS infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, IAM using IaC (Terraform).
• Support container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-efficiency.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security checks.
• Apply SRE and observability best practices to improve reliability.
• Collaborate to improve developer experience with robust tools and secure configurations.
