Job summary

Capgemini Invent in Poland is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support enterprise-wide governance initiatives. You will help define data assets, manage glossaries, metadata, and data ownership, and ensure consistent business definitions across domains.

The role requires 3-5+ years in data governance or related fields, strong documentation and communication skills, fluent English, and on-site work in Gdańsk or Wrocław.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Data Steward, Data Governance, Business Analysis or Data Management.
• Understanding of data stewardship and governance principles.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and data owners.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience maintaining business glossaries and metadata repositories.
• Fluent English.
• Must be based in, and available to work on-site full-time from, Gdańsk or Wrocław.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Nice to Have Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
• Experience within enterprise transformation programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve data governance processes and standards.
• Support business teams in defining critical data assets.
• Manage business glossaries, metadata and data ownership structures.
• Ensure consistent use of business definitions across domains.
• Work closely with Data Governance, Data Quality and business teams.
