Job summary

Aviva in Warsaw is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and the modern data stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into robust solutions.

The role emphasizes data quality, security, cost-efficient architecture, and opportunities to work with cutting-edge tools like DBT, Airflow, and Snowpark. Fluent English is expected; hybrid work with some days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience in Snowflake scripting - stored procedures (PLSQL or python), UDFs, CTEs, window functions.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT and Snowflake architecture.
• Fluent English.
• Knowledge of various file formats (Parquet, JSON, YAML).
• Understanding Snowflake data sharing, replication, masking policies, secure views, and time travel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and modern data stack tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Implement best practices for data modelling, performance tuning, and cost-efficient architecture in Snowflake.
