Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in Poznań is seeking a (Senior) Data Engineer to shape our global data platform. You will design and extend our Snowflake/Azure-based architecture, implement dbt Cloud transformations, and drive CI/CD automation and governance improvements.

The role emphasizes independent work, international collaboration, and a strong focus on platform hardening and continuous improvement. You will join a data science and engineering team operating in a Kanban workflow with Jira,

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Ability to work in Scrum in Kanban using Jira.
  • Ability to gather requirements and work independently with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to propose solutions and solve problems independently.
  • Experience in international teams.
  • English proficiency at least B2 (spoken and written).
  • Must-have: DBT, SQL, Python or Java/C#; relational databases; CI/CD; data architecture and integration.
  • Nice-to-have: PowerBI, GCP, NoSQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Terraform, Azure, Iceberg, Terraform, GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance ROCKWOOL's data platform built on Snowflake and Azure.
  • Leverage dbt Cloud for transformations and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve governance and monitoring, automate processes, and harden platforms.
  • Collaborate in a Kanban environment and coordinate with stakeholders across international teams.

What you will be doing:

Are you ready to make a real impact and shape the future of our global data platform? We are seeking an experienced (Senior) Data Engineer to join our team and take on a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence. As a (Senior) Data Engineer, you will be the key person responsible for proposing and implementing cutting‑edge solutions. You will design and enhance our robust data platform built on Snowflake and Azure, leveraging dbt Cloud for transformations. Your expertise will be crucial in introducing new features, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating processes, and improving governance and monitoring. We need someone who thrives on solving complex problems and is passionate about platform hardening and continuous improvement. We work in Kanban, and we use Jira to organize whole project from top to bottom.

What you bring:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Ability to work in Scrum in Kanban using Jira

  • Experience working in international team
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level, spoken and written
