Data Analyst for Individual Rights Workflow Tool

Detailed description of work task to be carried out

The brief of the data analyst assignment is to perform MVP2 Analysis of how Data Collection can be done in a better way than currently with Robotics and manual processes.

Background:

Individual Rights Workflow Tool (IR WT) is being implemented on Pega, Bank's Workflow and Case Management Platform in phases. The first and ongoing phase MVP1* is scoped, planned, and funded and based on keep existing robotics for sourcing data and if ready add the additional data for Access request as a manual check list.


For the next phase MVP2 the objective is to source data in a more optimal way than done with Robotics and manually. In order to scope and define MVP2, the business wants an analysis of how data can be collected in a better way going forward and thereby discover how to further capitalize on Pega capabilities in MVP2 to address existing business challenges such as increasing data scope, maintenance of existing robotics, amount of manual work and governance.

Expectations of the Role

The data analyst is required to perform analysis on

  • Data structure (data points within each set)
  • Current state
  • Data ownership
  • Future sourcing options


The scope of the analysis is defined by a prioritised list of data points / data sets provided by Business.

The analysis will provide answers to the following

  • Data structure: What data points are in scope and how is it structured?
  • Current state
  • Where is data currently sourced from?How is it extracted today?
  • Does the data differ across countries?
  • What business rules are applied to extract the data?
  • Data ownership
    Who are the real data owners of the data (might not be from where we source it today)?
  • Future sourcing options
  • Can the data be retrieved via existing API's?
  • If not:
  • Can API's be extended or newly developed?
  • If not, can data be sourced via data mart / data lake?
  • If not, can existing robot, an extension of an existing robot, or a new robot be used?
  • What are the dependencies for each possible option?
  • What is the high level cost estimate for each possible option?

The data analyst must provide the following deliverables for each given data point / data set:

  • Documented structure and current state
  • Identified and documented data ownership
  • Identified and Documented Future sourcing options, including. dependencies so that high level cost estimates can be made

Must-have knowledge and experience

  • Data collection analysis experience
  • Experience analysing data structures and data flows
  • Understanding of data ownership, data governance, and data lineage concepts
  • API integrations
  • Very structured and detailed to work with both structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to identify and document business rules, dependencies, and current-state processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Able to coordinate input from many teams while maintaining progress and focus

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience

Financial Services: Previous experience in banking, financial services, or similar regulated industries
