Ecolab seeks an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to create, review, revise, and negotiate agreements for our Global Pest business. You will advise internal stakeholders on terms, manage risk, and support multiple geographies with a focus on delivering high-quality legal guidance.

The role requires a law degree and 10+ years of experience, with in-house experience and multinational exposure preferred. Hybrid work model with relocation support for international candidates is provided.

Job description

This position will create, review, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts for our Global Pest business. In addition to helping execute our commercial contracts you will also be advising and soliciting input from internal stakeholders on contract terms and conditions that may affect their respective business areas on various levels of complexity of contracts and documents to support the commercial businesses at Ecolab. Responsibilities will later expand to other areas.

What You Will Do:

• Review and negotiate agreements in connection with commercial transactions
• Offer general legal advice to company management and functional business groups
• Build and manage ongoing relationships with key legal stakeholders
• Partner with key stakeholders and Global Capability Owner to understand business context and priorities
• Mitigate major risks that threaten the delivery of work for contracts that are on customer forms or created internally
• Oversee or collaborate with Global Pest legal team members in our GBS+ organization across time zones (including in Buenos Aires, Argentina), ensuring effective collaboration, professional development, and high-quality legal support.

What You Will Need:

• Law degree and a professional license / authorization to practice law with 10+ years of commercial contracting experience.
• Previous experience with multinational industrial / manufacturing companies preferred but not required.
• Previous in-house legal experience preferred but not required.
• Strong experience in commercial law including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with end customers.
• Proficient in drafting various types of contracts in English.
• The ability to identify, analyze, and communicate legal risks to enable internal clients to make quality, risk-adjusted business decisions.
• Experience managing or training other lawyers or paralegals is a plus but is not required.
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and geographies concurrently and prioritize to meet required timelines.
• Decisive decision-maker who understands global organizational impacts and has cultural awareness.
• English Fluency (other languages a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Flexibility to adapt and lead through change as business requirements evolve.
