SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA in Warsaw is seeking a Cobol Developer to contribute to a global release train on a core banking product. You will decompose requests into user stories, develop and test code, and participate in CI/CD, deployment, and production support within an international team.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days in the office) and collaborate across the IT ecosystem, applying best practices and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Cobol developer/ software engineer.
• Understanding of Agile and Project methodologies: Scrum, SAFe, Agile and Waterfall.
• Proficiency in English (Polish is a strong plus).
• High analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible approach.
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and improve legacy.

Responsibilities

• Decomposing technical and functional requests into detailed user stories by interacting with Product Owner and Feature team.
• Developing code using software best practices and craftsmanship (BDD, TDD, CI, CD).
• Participating in testing, deployment and production activities for stability.
• Integrating vendor software into Société Générale IT ecosystem.
• Implementing and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline.
• Participating in application support and incident management.
• Ensuring operations: monitoring, alerting, resiliency with application manager support.
• Keeping process and documentation up to date.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Cobol Developer within the TRA (Trade Finance) tribe, you will contribute to a global release train on a common core banking product.
