Job summary

Societe Generale in Warsaw is seeking a software developer to join the KYC onboarding and review platform. You will analyze requirements, implement functionalities, and ensure alignment with architecture and security standards.

You'll collaborate with Business Analysts, contribute to technical documentation, and support weekend releases as part of a hybrid work model in the center of Warsaw.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a software developer or software engineer.
• Mentored junior developers or coordinated technical delivery.
• Confident in challenging architectural solutions and proposing viable options to Product Owner or stakeholders.
• Proficient with Java, Spring and Git.
• Familiar with Kubernetes and Azure is a plus.
• Enjoy teamwork and sharing knowledge.
• Open minded and patient towards people.
• Available to support weekend releases during weekend mornings (every two months).

Responsibilities

• Analysis & Specification: analyze requirements and convert into technical tasks with Business Analyst support.
• Propose technical solutions and challenge them when necessary.
• Write and update technical and architectural documents.
• Programming: implement functionalities according to acceptance criteria.
• Comply with current architecture, security, quality, and documentation standards.
• Conduct unit and integration tests, with QA support.
• Knowledge sharing: ensure team understands technical and functional scope.
• Stay up to date with technological evolutions and propose improvements in work organization.
• Production: define configuration and environment needs; maintain components; support weekend releases (L3).

Responsibilities

CLC is a portfolio of applications that support wholesale clients’ onboarding and periodic review processes. The onboarding module covers the entire process from initiation to validation across multiple subprocesses: document collection, regulatory and tax checks, legal validation, KYC, and soon ESG due diligences.

The review module is composed of:

• A module capable of automatically identifying future KYC & Tax yearly campaigns.
• A module in charge of managing these campaigns (case creation, assignment, etc.).
• Review cases covering the whole review process, including document collection and due diligences.

The main applications within the perimeter are:

• KSM (KYC onboarding and review processes)
• Maestro (Third‑party referential)
• Record (KYC rules engine)
• LEGO (Legal onboarding application)

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

• Analysis & Specification:
• Analyzing requirements and contributing to converting them into technical tasks, supported by Business Analyst,
• Proposing technical solutions and challenging them when necessary,
• Writing and updating technical and architectural documents
• Programming:
• Implementing functionalities according to acceptance criteria,
• Complying with current architecture, security, quality, and documentation standards,
• Conducting unit and integration tests, supported by broader testing done by Quality Assurance Analysts
• Knowledge sharing:
• Ensuring that the team has a clear understanding of the technical and functional scope,
• Staying up to date with technological evolutions,
• Proposing improvements in work organization
• Production:
• Defining configuration and technical environment needs,
• Handling corrective and evolutionary maintenance of components,
• Supporting weekend releases and ensuring the stability of the production environment (L3 support)

Profile required

You will be best suited for this role if:

• You have worked as a software developer or software engineer for several years
• You have mentored junior Developers or coordinated the technical delivery
• You feel confident in challenging the architectural solutions and proposing viable solutions to Product Owner or Business Stakeholder
• You are proficient with Java, Spring and Git
• You are familiar with our technical stack (knowledge of Kubernetes and Azure is nice to have)
• You enjoy working in a team and are curious to acquire and share knowledge
• You are open minded and patient towards people
• You are available to support the releases during the weekend mornings (once every two months)
