Job summary

Smartedge Solutions in Warsaw, Poland is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our centralized platform team. You will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure reliability and security.

Collaborate with development and operations, implement IaC with Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI, and containerize using Docker/Kubernetes in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role with a focus on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, ECS and EKS.
• Proficiency in Terraform for provisioning cloud infrastructure.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.
• Hands-on containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
• Solid networking and cloud security fundamentals.

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our centralized platform team, In this role, you will focus on managing, improving, and maintaining our existing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications by adhering to corporate guidelines and industry best practices.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with development and operations teams, streamline deployments, enhance automation, and optimize existing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions within an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Manage, improve, and maintain client existing AWS cloud infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Automation & CI/CD: Streamline application deployments, build and optimize deployment pipelines, and enhance overall system automation.
• PaaS Optimization: Optimize existing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions while adhering strictly to client corporate guidelines and security best practices.
• Collaboration: Partner daily with software developers and operations teams to resolve bottlenecks and act as a reliable service provider within a centralized platform team.
• Agile Participation: Work actively within an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban), engaging in iterative delivery and close feedback loops.

Required Qualifications & Skills Technical Competencies

• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role, with a strong, dedicated focus on the AWS ecosystem.
• AWS Cloud Services: Hands-on experience deploying and managing services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, ECS, and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): High proficiency in Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• CI/CD Tools: Strong experience setting up and maintaining pipelines using GitHub/GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.
• Containerization: Practical, hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation task development.
• Networking & Security: Solid understanding of core networking concepts (subnets, routing, firewalls) and cloud security best practices.
