Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Cloud Technology team in Krakow. You will help design, build, and operate software that powers Akamai's global platform, with focus on scalability and performance.

You will learn how the Internet and Akamai work from a networking perspective, while contributing to tools that control terabits of IP traffic. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and document your work for reuse.

Qualifications

• Experience writing Java in production environments.
• Experience with Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or C.
• Understanding IP addressing and IP routing.
• Familiarity with networking equipment.
• Ability to design reliable, scalable software.

Responsibilities

• Building tools and developing new features for existing software.
• Developing tests, test automation, and testing frameworks, performance benchmarks.
• Designing reliable, high-quality, usable software that meets the needs of Cloud Technology for indefinite scalability of deployed network.
• Creating reusable code and libraries.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and code development.
• Creating developer documentation for the tools that you write when applicable.
