Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc in Kraków is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to help build and operate Python-based services, developer tooling, and cloud-native solutions for Splunk’s engineering community.

You will design reliable backend services, APIs, and data-processing pipelines, and collaborate across teams to raise productivity and software quality using major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Professional software development experience with solid fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and building maintainable services.
• Experience building backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with containers, serverless, IaC, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, testing, and production support.
• Strong debugging and documentation skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full software development lifecycle from requirements to maintenance.
• Design and build reliable backend services, APIs, automation tools, and data pipelines.
• Develop and operate cloud-based solutions using cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling and standards.
• Contribute to design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Write automated tests, documentation, and runbooks; participate in on-call rotation.
