Job summary

Vertex Agility is seeking a Cloud FinOps Specialist to manage the tooling behind multi-cloud cost management. You will focus on running the platform, automating repetitive tasks in Python, and engaging with stakeholders across a distributed organization.

The role emphasizes tooling, FinOps processes, automation, and collaboration with engineering teams and vendors. Strong English and experience in global teams are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support environments (L2/service desk).
• Experience writing automation in Python.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud, AWS or Azure and their billing/cost reporting.
• Understanding of FinOps: tagging, cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Solid grasp of cloud security fundamentals: IAM, least privilege, secure configuration.
• Experience with client-facing work and communicating to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day administration of the cloud cost management platform.
• Maintain metadata, budgets and forecasts for accurate cost data.
• Build and maintain Python automation deployed on Google Cloud Run.
• Identify processes to automate (ticket handling, access provisioning, scheduled jobs).
• Keep documentation current with runbooks and technical guides.
• Provide updates to users and senior stakeholders on status and trends.
