Job summary

Sigma Software seeks a Senior DevOps/FinOps Engineer to optimize large-scale cloud platforms under high load. You will own cost visibility, implement IaC, and drive efficiency across production systems in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

The role focuses on GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Looker-driven reporting, balancing performance, reliability, and spend, while advancing multi-cloud strategies and FinOps practices in a cybersecurity context.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience in high-traffic production environments.
• Strong experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and reporting.
• Deep understanding of cloud cost drivers and optimization strategies.
• Experience presenting proposals to engineering leadership.
• Kubernetes production experience; Terraform and Helm familiarity.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of complex, high-traffic infrastructure systems and services.
• Analyze distributed systems and legacy components to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
• Build and maintain infrastructure cost visibility, including reporting pipelines and dashboards.
• Identify and implement short-term and long-term infrastructure optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to present and drive technical improvements.
• Own optimization initiatives end-to-end, from proposal to implementation and impact validation.
• Improve infrastructure scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and automation practices.
