Job summary

Nordea is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help deliver solutions for business-critical banking applications, particularly with a newly formed Availability Layer platform, which relies on existing building blocks of Communication Layer (Kafka), Snowflake and AWS S3. This is a full-time permanent position that may require participation in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience with various DevOps solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Experience automating infrastructure and processes using Terraform, Jenkins and Argo CD.
• Understanding SQL and data structures and formats, such as Apache Iceberg.
• Source control using Git.
• Monitoring with Prometheus/Victoria Metrics/Grafana.
• Python, Bash, or another scripting language.
• Good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Building new infrastructure components, based on cloud platforms and tools, such as AWS EKS and S3, Terraform Enterprise and Snowflake
• Automating infrastructure deployment and configuration
• Acting as a Site Reliability Engineer to support service issues, including a potential participation in an on-call rotation
• Working closely with team members and other stakeholders across multiple countries
• Expanding your knowledge and horizons by having access to a large environment and learning from fellow technology-obsessed colleagues
